ENJOY THE GOOD LIFE IN BOSCOBEL

WISCONSIN RIVER TRAIL NEWS

Sign up before April 27th to receive a t-shirt, as you and your family participate in our Trek the Trail, a 5 or 10K run/walk that will begin at the Depot Museum on Saturday, May 5th at 9 am.  Entry fee is $25/person or $75/family (2 adults/2 kids). The run will use the Sanders Creek Trail, phase 1 trail to the Von Haden Boat Landing, and part of our next trail, phase 2A (for 10 K runners).  The race will be timed, and 10K finishers will receive an awesome medal.  Register online at www.wirivertrail.org.    This is Boscobel’s “Spring Opener”, with the farmer’s market and Depot Museum opening, as well as city wide garage sales.

Let’s make a day of it, welcoming spring back into our lives…finally!  Saturday, May 5th from 11-2pm, WRTO will be serving up brats, chips, a dessert, and pop at Krogen’s Do It Best Hardware Store, celebrating the store’s 85th year in business.  The cost of the meal is only 85 cents.

Don’t forget to use our BIG BIKE!  For $20, you can put our big bike in someone’s yard or driveway to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or just a fun day!  We put the bike in your desired spot, then the recipient of the “Biking” can have the bike removed for $15, or can “Rebike” someone else for just $10.

WRTO also is accepting Kwik Trip milk moola.  Call or email a board member for pick-up.  Join our Facebook page:  Wisconsin River Trail Organization to contact us or to watch all the exciting news coming for our grant application, 3rd of July Chicken BBQ, Taste of Boscobel on September15th,  with plans for big bands and an awesome car show, and our Hike/Bike Banquet in November, which is going to be at a new location.

Have a great week everyone!
