FUNDRAISING 2019 IN FULL SWING

WISCONSIN RIVER TRAIL NEWS
As we build this trail as a community, we are asking for just a little help every day until March 27th. Can you mark your calendars daily to go onto this website: https://careerpros.com/vote, Sedona Staffing located in Prairie du Chien, and vote for the Wisconsin River Trail Organization as your favorite local non-profit? Please make sure that Prairie du Chien is the area (change it from Dubuque). Then fill in the information including our location (Boscobel) and your information. It is safe to share your email information on the form. This is how they track that only one vote per day per person happens. They won’t contact you. If we have the most votes, we will be awarded $2500! And that is how Boscobel comes together to build a trail! Please don’t forget to do it every single day. EVERY vote counts!

Thank you to our sponsors (so far): Bemis, Community First Bank, Boscobel Chamber of Commerce, Tricor, BMZ, Gundersen Boscobel Hospital and Clinic, and Double K’s Bar and Grill for your support.

Spring is coming…I think!?!?

Let’s plan to get outside and do something awesome. Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 11th for the 3rd Annual Trek the Trail 5 and 10 K run/walk! To register, go to our website: www.wirivertrail.org, go to events, Trek the Trail, and 3rd annual! You can register and pay right online or on the day of the race. Cost is $25/person or $75 for a family of 2 adults and 2 youth. Medals will be awarded for all finishers of the 10K, and the top three men and top three women in the 5 K will receive medals as well. Registration opens at 7 am the morning of the event, with the 10K starting at 8 am, and the 5 K starting at 8:15 am. If you register before May 1st, you’ll receive a souvenir T-shirt.

Dates are set for Music at the Mill this year.

Please keep the evenings of June 12th, July 10th, and August 14th open for some entertainment at the Wisconsin River Outings (Mill) right on Wisconsin Avenue. We are planning on having the great ice cream back from Udder Brothers, as well as food for purchase.

Also, don’t forget to register the Wisconsin River Trail Organization as your non-profit of choice when ordering from Amazon.com. If you use smile.amazon.com instead of just amazon.com, and register the WRTO as your non-profit, Amazon, without tacking any cost to your order, donates 0.5% of every order to the trail. You do have to return to the smile.amazon.com site every time you order from then on. We get checks about 4 times a year because you added us. It’s as easy as that!

Thank you for all that you do for our trail. We are in the works to start some construction this next year on phase 2A, as well as applying once again for an amazing grant to make the trail a reality. Have a good week!
